Working with Symbology in ArcGIS Pro

Intended Audience

This course is intended for students who have some knowledge of ArcGIS Pro, and are looking to expand their knowledge of various data visualization techniques for vector layers. Students should have some prior working experience with ArcGIS Pro and/or have taken our Learning ArcGIS Pro 1 class.

Software and Licenses

Students will need to have ArcGIS Pro (any license level) installed on their computers and have a valid login. This should be verified prior to the start of class.

Summary

The new ArcGIS Pro Shorts Series is a series of short, 4 hour (1/2 day) classes designed with a focus on a specific ArcGIS Pro topic. These classes provide a more focused, deep-dive study into a variety of topics.

The Working with Symbology class will introduce you to a variety of ways that vector layers can be symbolized in ArcGIS Pro including unique value, graduated color, graduated symbol, dot density, charts and others. In this class you’ll learn a variety of techniques for effectively visualizing your data. You’ll also learn how to create and apply symbology using layer files and apply display filters to limit the visualization of symbols.

Our live-online classes are conducted from 9:00 – 1:00 Central time. Classes are delivered via GoToTraining. You will receive an email containing login instructions for the GoToTraining session on the Wednesday before class begins.
