ArcGIS Pro Shorts Series: Creating Custom Pop-Ups

The new ArcGIS Pro Shorts Series is a series of short, 4 hour (1/2 day) classes designed with a focus on a specific ArcGIS Pro topic. These classes provide a more focused, deep-dive study into a variety of topics.

Popups are small windows that display attribute information about one or more features that have been clicked in the map.  This functionality is sometimes referred to as an ‘Identify’ operation, and are enabled through the Explore button, found on the Map tab.  When the down arrow is clicked on the Explore button it displays a number of options for what layers can take part in the identify operation.

After learning the basic functionality provided by pop-up windows for the identification of vector features, you’ll learn how to customize the content by adding text, HTML, custom titles, charts, and images. You’ll also learn how to use the Arcade language to further customize pop-up content.
