With the ever increasing need for design and GIS professionals to share data, it is critical that GIS users understand and are able to make use of data created with Autodesk's AutoCAD software.  Using AutoCAD Data in ArcGIS is a two day class that explains the dwg format and how to integrate into standard ESRI data formats such as shapefiles and geodatabases.

Course Goals & Skills Mastered:
  • Understanding the DWG/DXF file format
  • View DWG/DXF's in ArcCatalog
  • Add DWG/DXF files in ArcMap
  • How to query & symbolize using standard DWG attributes
  • How to convert DWG data to a geodatabase or shapefile
  • How to georeference and spatially adjust a DWG
  • How to use and convert DWG annotation
 
 
  This course is designed for all levels.  
 
  Internet Browser (recommend Microsoft Internet Explorer 6.0 or above.
